Financial Reports / Profit & Loss (P&L)

Profit & Loss (P&L)

Profit & Loss statement

The P&L statement summarizes the company's revenues and expenses, showing the financial position for a given period.

What does it include?

Revenue — Based on outgoing invoices (Billingo, NAV) and revenue-type financial entries.
Expenses — Based on incoming invoices and expense-type financial entries.
VAT revenue / expenses — VAT amounts in separate columns.
Result — The difference between revenue and expenses.

Grouping

The report can be displayed in two grouping modes:

By cost center — Amounts categorized to each cost center, broken down by month.
By job number — Amounts categorized to each project, broken down by month.

Grouping is based on categorization: if different line items within a single invoice are categorized to different cost centers or job numbers, only the amount of the line items belonging to that category appears — not the full invoice amount. This gives the report line-item level accuracy for expenses and revenues.

Detailed view

Clicking on any cell opens a popup showing the invoices and financial entries that make up that category and month. Each item displays a type badge (Invoice or Other) so you can distinguish the source. This lets you see exactly which items compose the total.

Filter options

Period — Custom date range.
Date type — Based on invoice date, delivery date or due date.
